Why I choose not to identify as a "Sound Healer"

I choose not to identify as a "Sound Healer" for some very good reasons. I identify as a sound healing practitioner because my role is to facilitate and support your own healing journey. This distinction is important for several reasons:

  1. Empowerment: I believe in empowering you to become your own healer. My role is to provide you with the tools, guidance, and safe space necessary for you to tap into your innate ability to heal and balance yourself. By not taking on the title of "healer," I emphasise your active participation in the healing process.

  2. Facilitation Over Direct Healing: As a sound healing practitioner, I facilitate the process by using sound frequencies, vibrations, and techniques that promote relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being. The actual healing comes from within you. My work is about creating the right environment and conditions for your body and mind to heal themselves.

  3. Personal Responsibility: This approach encourages you to take personal responsibility for your health and well-being. By understanding that you are your own healer, you become more engaged and proactive in your own journey, making lasting changes that support your overall health.

  4. Providing Tools for Navigation: After a one to one session, I equip you with tools and techniques that you can use beyond our sessions. These tools help you navigate life's challenges more effectively and maintain balance and harmony in your daily life.

  5. Holding Space: My primary role is to hold a safe and supportive space for you. In this space, you can explore, release, and transform any physical, emotional, or spiritual imbalances. Holding space means being present, attentive, and non-judgmental, allowing you to feel supported as you embark on your healing journey.

By defining my role in this way, I aim to foster a sense of empowerment and autonomy in your healing process. You have the power and wisdom within you to heal, and I am here to hold space and support you on this path.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you take control of your own healing.
